今日的比賽道奇老將Rich Hill一掃先前季後賽先發投球局數短命的陰霾，繳出6局無失分好投，只被敲2支安打，送出6K、2次保送，接替投球的Joe Blanton、Grant Dayton、Kenley Jansen延續壓制力，合力投3局沒有失分，道奇靠著Yasmani Grandal和Justin Turner的全壘打，終場以6：0再下一城。
道奇不只是連續2戰沒有失掉任何分數，2場比賽合計只被敲出6支安打，第2戰小熊僅有2支安打，今日的比賽小熊也只有4支安打，可謂完全封鎖小熊打線。道奇投手群的優異表現，讓小熊的團隊打線打擊率低到只有0.193，其中主力打者Anthony Rizzo打擊率是淒慘的0.077、Addison Russell更是慘不忍睹的0.042。
明日的比賽道奇將繼續推出左投面對小熊打線，將由年僅20歲的小將Julio Urias對決小熊37歲老將John Lackey，小熊打線若再不振作，想扳平系列戰難度將會很高。
